Culture & Expectations
At Don Bosco Primary School, your child will step into a world of wonder, friendship, and exciting discoveries! Our warm and caring teachers greet every student with a smile each morning, making sure school days start with joy and enthusiasm. From hands-on science experiments to creative art sessions, dynamic PE classes to fun Auslan lessons, every day brings new adventures in learning. We're proud of our close-knit community where children feel safe to be themselves, learn to care for others, and grow into confident learners. Respect, responsibility, and safety are our expectations of behaviour, as we help little minds flourish and make their first school experience truly special.
At Don Bosco, we don't just educate – we create happy memories and lasting friendships while building strong foundations for your child's future.
Whole School Approach to Positive Behaviour Support
Our whole school approach to positive behaviour is supported by all members of the school community. We work together to enact our expectations of safety, respect and responsibility. In doing so, the Diocesan framework enables the development of a positive, safe and supportive school environment in which students can learn and develop. The WSAPBS has been developed in the context of the teachings and beliefs of Catholic Social Teaching. The approach comprises Universal to Intensive support and includes identified features that promote learning and wellbeing for all students. The characteristics of our whole school positive behaviour approach include prevention, instruction, use of evidence based practices, and utilising data for informed decision making. We have included the behaviours we are currently focusing on within our expectations and our consequences chart below.
